Green Apple Smoothie

Ingredients 

• 2 cups spinach leaves, packed
• juice of ½ lemon
• 1 green apple, peeled, cored & diced
• ½ cucumber
• 4 oz. ice cubes
• ½ cup coconut water
• Honey or agave nectar (optional)

We’re one month into the new year. If you’re finding yourself straying from your healthy resolutions, this is the smoothie to help get you back on track. The combination of the green apple, spinach, and cucumber is a great way to detox and reset.

Adding a little honey or agave nectar will cut any of the bitterness from the spinach or tartness from the lemon juice—your smoothie will be delicious regardless, enjoy!

Directions:

  • Remove skin and seeds from cucumbers, chop into 1” chunks, add to blender.
  • Add spinach, diced apples, lemon juice, coconut water, and ice to blender. Add honey/agave nectar if desired. Add more coconut water if needed.
  • Blend until smooth, pour into glass, and enjoy!
